I've been checkin out this website off and on for a few months, and i can't tell if the main guy (icycalm) is just a selfish, selve serving douche, or if he's actually intelligent with something worth saying. Anybody else check this site out? thoughts?

as i recall, icycalm is some kind of aspie freak that dresses up a lot of his video game opinionz with european-intellectual rhetoric. tim rogers if he was 100% serious and an insufferable jerk.

The use of philosophy doesn't make someone a blowhard. The fact is that everyone i know that took some sort of philosophy in college became a pretentious blowhard. As if knowing basic philosophy made them higher than other people that didn't know (or care about) philosophy. It's always the person, never the subject.

People must be informed if they are planning to learn from this man! A person should be willing to separate ad hominismo from legitimate criticism and insight. It is an excellent practice to note ideas and not egos.

Not being a glutton for punishment, I haven't read any of his articles, but if this is an accurate representation of his position, he's even more ridiculous than I could have suspected.
