Games are a strange breed of media. Unlike music and movies (which show up in stores on Tuesdays) or books (which hit the shelves on Thursdays), games just kinda show up when they show up. Often times, the date you see on ads is not the date you can find them in stores but rather the date the game actually ships from the warehouse to the store. And even then, there isn't usually a specific date... but we'll go with Wednesdays for convenience.
