Screenshots don't always do a game justice. For Mega Man IV's procedural backgrounds, this is particularly true. Here is the beginning of Crystal Man's stage. These conveyor belts appear everywhere, with sometimes three or four on screen at once.

The foreground detail in Crystal Man's stage is often just as impressive. This is right before a forked path that that lasts for nearly half the stage, recombining just ahead of the boss chamber.

Dr. Wily's battlecruiser pulls out all the stops. The deeper you plunge, the more cycling foreground and background elements there are on screen. The lead-up to the final bosses fills the screen with a dizzying array of cycling animations.
