Games | Metal Gear series

Metal Gear!? Yes, Metal Gear: The devil's candy of, uh, something or another. A giant walking battle tank that, when it isn't stomping you into a puddle, is dropping nuclear bombs on your moms from anywhere on the planet. (Also, it is a series of video games.)

The Chronology Games

Some people would call this "canon," but seeing that term used for anything but the Bible makes me throw up now.

Metal Gear Solid 3 (Snake Eater/Subsistence): The penultimate release of the series also serves as its first chapter through a bizarre time paradox principle that threatens to tear asunder time and space. Oh, wait, no. It's called a "prequel." Never mind.

Metal Gear Portable Ops: (Portable Ops+)

Metal Gear: (Metal Gear NES)

Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake:

Metal Gear Solid (Integral/VR Missions/Twin Snakes): While it's not the first game in the series, it might as well be. MGS rebooted Metal Gear, launched its creator to stardom and changed the face of gaming. Not bad, really.

Metal Gear (Ghost Babel): This probably should go in the apocrypha section, but I like it so much I'm going to allow it.

Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty: (Substance)

Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots:
